Nanocom Evo for LR4

Nanocom Evo for LR4
Hello All,
I have a Nanocom for my Disco II and have now purchased a LR4 and wanted to get a diagnostic tool for it. I was leaning towards the Gap IID tool, but learned that I can unlock the code for the LR4 on the Nanocom and use it.
Is the Gap IID Tool the one to get?
Even if I already have the Nanocom?
Is there anyone that owns both and would suggest one over the other?
Is the Gap tool preferable because of the phone/tablet interface?
Are there things that one can do and not the other?
I have done some research here, on the web in general, and on the manufacturer's websites, but haven't come up with a definitive answer. Any help is appreciative.

That's my understanding too.
But I wanted to know if there was some actual or percieved value in the Gap IID that makes it desirable over Nanocom other than the phone/tablet bluetooth interface. If that's the only difference than I'll save my $500 and spend it on the next thing to break on either of the two trucks.
