X-Lifter vs GAP tool
#2
Just make sure you hook up your battery to a maintainer/tender if you aren't going to have your LR4 running. I was playing around with the GAP tool for about 15 minutes and it drained my battery enough that it wouldn't start and gave me warning lights. Jump start and everything was better, but it was pretty scary thinking I'd fried my ECU.

I have both. Originally, I solely used the xlifter for auto-leveling, but after a day of use it was used for all my. ride height needs. It turns on as soon as I enter the truck, starts up with the truck in the last setting, and changes on the fly even at 80 mph (not recommended, but had to try). Xlifter has or will have other features that gap doesn't have, like bypassing height sensors.
Whereas, I would have to plug in my gap, start up the app, and get into the settings. This all takes less than 1 minute, BUT the xlifter is connected at all times, powers on with the truck, and I just push a button.
Don't get me wrong, I love my gap and NOTHING replaces it. Xlifter just has ease of use and other features that compliments the gap tool.

These are not related pieces. GAP tool is a diagnostic tool to be used across the entire plaform. X-lifter is an inline plugin for your suspension. GAP will identify codes and faults, it swill allow you to calibrate many aspects of the trucks capacities etc after breakdowns parts replacements, etc.. X-lifter will allow you control the height of your air suspension thru bluetooth connection to your phone.
Do not fondue the 2 as an either or. You SHOULD own a GAP tool. You can add an x-lifter, or not.
