Ok guys. About to bite the bullet on a diagnostic tool for my D3, really interested in the GAP IID Tool. But what about the Hawkeye or Nanocom systems?

What are the benefits of one more expensive VS. The GAP tool?

Cheers!

Eric

I don't know much about the Hawkey or the Nanocom. I like the GAP tool because I can keep it in the LR3's center box, plug it in when needed; it uses the cruise control switches as the interface and has a TON of functionality. When I bought mine it was ~$400 (shipped). HUGE bang for the buck. I once re-calibrated all the ride height sensors when LR Seattle was UNABLE to do so! That is how good it is...and the customer service is top notch. I can't say enough about the support the guys at GAP provide.

PS - Eric, if we ever get around to grabbing that beer, I could just show you how the IIDTool works.

I love my IID BT GAP tool. We also use the Hawkeye, but when comparing the functionality over cost, I go GAP every time. Especially the BT version. Ive used the basic before with the steering wheel controls, but once you start moving, the functions are unavailable, whereas with the BT version they are live the whole time. See the screenshot I recently took whilst driving my LR3. I love being able to see all those live values, especially on a lengthy trip.

Sure...we should pick a place and date/time. Where are you located, Schwaggy?

SDD is the first choice of Land rover group, still many D2/D3 owners choose to get AUTOCOM,cheap and multi-function supported, many talks in this thread: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...-vmware-64725/
