so we are on our 3rd lr4 about 140k on the clock and the first time we had any type of engine issue - we had three bad over heating events - 1st the bleeder cap on oil cooler tube decided to go MIA on the wifey - then the oil cooler tubes leaked out while I was out of town - third I failed to fully seat the dang lower hose quick release into t-stat housing - so now the temp gauge is inop but since the last two events happened relatively close and I can’t seem to sort out where gauge gets it’s reading - lower hose or back of engine crossover tube

please help me sort out which temp sender is for the gauge


and by the way LAND ROVER - why the heck are the sensors mounted where if you have a catastrophic error - the car can’t tell because it’s either dry (crossover) or (lower hose) where coolant isn’t flowing at least attached to metal it will still read something jeez don’t take a genius …..
