I have had a minor oil leak on my disco II for about 2 weeks nothing major maybe a drop or 2 every other day I checked the oil daily and it didnt need for me to add any oil. But today I took my truck to get an oil change and now it is significantly worse it also now have the m and s flashing green lights on the message board. It looks like the oil is dripping from around the oil pan and should I worry because my vin matches the infamous oil pump range. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated on where to start the analyzation of the problem.

 

If your truck had the bad oil pump it would have blown up already and if your oil pan gasket is leaking then you need to have it replaced and the m&s lights coming on can mean many different things including low battery voltage and a bad xyz switch and many other transmission faults you are going to have to have the battery and alt tested and then have the transmission fluid checked and oil leaking from the engine can get on the xyz switch and cause it to set off a trouble code but it may not actually be bad it might just be covered in dirt and oil and road grim and whatever.
