Hey are there any BMWexperts out there that canback me up with some factsabout the well known issue of mid 90s BMW aluminum motor bores treatedwith nikasil, and the eventual change to alusil as used by PORSCHE?

Nikasil is a finer grain finish; Alusil or Alumasil is not as fine, but less expensive. LR sleeves appear to be Nikasil treated...draw your own conclusions...
