No Cruise C. No light on dash.
I don't have a working cruise control. I turn on the switch and then press set and no light illuminates on the dash, and the vehicle doesn't attempt to cruise.
Any help?
Thanks,
Roger S.

So... I check the hoses as people had said. Cut a little shorter and the rest pressure tests fine. My button for CC the highway looking one. The orange light only stays on if I push and hold it part way in. Checked fuses and such, all looked fine. Is there a relay somewhere?

How does one "Clean" the button. Haha. I looked at the plug that goes into the button and it looked fine.
Next I'm going to move to checking the brake pedal issue and the pump itself.
TBH. I have a volley of issues to handle. Been getting to them one at a time. My issues left are the harder ones...
Rear tailgate noise
Leaky transfer case: Going to RTV after inspecting more and swap to 80w-140
No Cruise control as were discussing.
Rear Fans don't work in heater, but do on A/C? Wtf. LOL
Mostly some other minor stuff here and there that will take me like 5min each to deal with.
Any help on these is appreciated.

So.... what I did today. Haha
Front Differential fluid change. Upped to 85w-140
T-case fluid change to 85w-140
Couldn't find T-case leak site, but after a short drive I didn't see any of the 85w-140 leaking anywhere.
Q: Does the T-case have a air bleed for expanding fluid?
Began raining, so I stopped here. Still hoping to do the rear diff fluid(for now I just fixed the non flowing air bleed on the top of the axle. Front one was working good still). Would like to swap the trans fluid before winter hits.
Didn't get to mess with the C-control, but I cleaned the button itself and now the light stay on, on it's own. However it didn't cure the issue. Will continue on process of elimination.

There is no dash light to illuminate when the Cruise is on. Pull the cruise pump and test it by applying 12V. If your pump works the problem is probably the Cruise ECU. Sometimes you can resolder a bad joint inside it. There's also a way to use the more dependable D2 cruise ECU. Eric Tyrell has a write up on it. I'm running the D2 Cruise ECU in my D1.
The Transfercase has a breather tube.
