Default NO oil to engine after maintenance

Hello.
I'm new here and desperately hoping someone can help me out.

Here goes...
Over the last few days I put in an entire new cooling system from thermostat to radiator. I did not do anything with cooler lines at radiator other than disconnect and reconnect to new radiator.
Next I replaced the power steering pump and three lines.
Then I changed all the plugs, wires, and new coil assembly.
Lastly I pulled the oil pan and replaced the gasket using rtv on both sides of he gasket. Then, i replaced the oil with mobil one and a mobil one filter.
So, here comes the problem....

Upon restart everything was great. Then 30 seconds later the block sounded like it just went dry. The increasingly awful sounds if metal getting to metal. I immediately turned the truck OFF. I drained the oil and examined it. Nothing out of the ordinary noticed. So, thinking I shoulda used a thicker oil I went and moved up to 10w40 high mileage. I put it in. It sounded great and no noises after three minutes, times. Figuring I was good I drive off from the house. About a mile later the awful noise came back. I was able to glide into a safe place but for the life of be I have no freak idea what's going on. It's like the oil pump just decided to stop working. But I've never had issues before with it. I'm just befuddled and any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you all !!!

Okay. I think I'm on to it. I know I have oil moving thru the system when he truck is running. Proved that easy enough. So, I'm thinkin it was my own stupidity.

I recalled that several times during the overall repair process I was degreasing the engine as access opened up. I also recall that I blocked all the four cooler lines with rubber caps but T reconnection time I found one had popped off at some point. I'm seriously thinking degreaser and/or water got into that line.

It makes sense to me. First oil was compromised and broke down in 30 seconds. Drained and refilled with new oil and it went in about 8 minutes. I think I inadvertently was diluting out the oil contamination with the oil changes.

I also noticed if the truck is cold and I start it I get two minutes before the "noise" just ever so slightly begins. I'm thinkin that's the result of better oil separating in the pan and it's sucked up first. Then the **** oil is pulled in, and remixed causing a breakdown which does little to nothing to lubricate the system.

So....gonna run an engine flush with a new filter. Drain. And try a third oil change. Any recommendations on a flush?

I've seen everything from 3L of straight diesel FUEL to Marvels Mystery, etc.....

Lastly, I see it's now recommended to use diesel oil instead of motor oil? Any specific brand/type? Preferably kinda cheap. I usually buy only the best but I'm tapped. Spent a thousands in parts in last two months.
Thanks!

I wouldn't bother with a flush. Any water or solvent that contaminated the oil first came out with that oil. I'm guessing a new problem has started to show. I'd grab a stethoscope or a long screwdriver and try to pinpoint the source of the sound

99 Disco 1 or 2, both had an SD model. If the oil light did not come on that's a pretty strong clue that you have over 8 pounds of oil pressure. Did you fill the oil filter with new oil? I'll bet you didn't. That's one very overlooked tidbit of info. Rotella 15W40 is the brand and weight of oil we use. Plenty of modifiers and snake oils already mixed in. The synthetic version is Rotella T6 5W40 which is what I use. Napa Gold oil filters rock far better than anything Mobile 1 puts out and they're cheaper.

Taking this one in order.
-My baby is a series one. Not II. My err in not specifying.

-Never saw, and am not seeing an oil light.
I proved to myself earlier I have good pressure too. So pump is ruled out as a cause.

-I absolutely pre-filled the oil filter and lubed the rubber gasket ring on the filter.
Funny enough, I never in my life took the time to fill the filter before. Literally first time I did it and Murphy got me anyways.

- I drained oil AGAIN.
- I ran through 4.25L of diesel fuel for 40 seconds with a fresh filter also pre-filled with diesel fuel.
- Drained, replaced filter (pre-filled with oil) and put in 15W40 diesel oil.
- So, this is the third batch of oil in there now AND DID THE DIESRL FLUSH.
-Sounds slightly better but after a minute getting loud ticking from inside the oil pan. Clear as day it's the location of the noise.

So..... Gonna pull the pan off again.... Ugh and see if I can see/find the demon(s).
I must've fukkked something up when I was down there originally. Just don't know what.

I have a video that I made that has the sound change. As soon as I can figure out how to upload it I will. Stay posted.....

PS. THANK YOU for everyone's replies. While I may not follow every single idea and thought I sincerely batter them around with my own knowledge and experiences to proceed the best I see fit.
So please, no one should feel slighted if I don't follow their explicit ideas or instructions to the tee. I wouldn't have come here and begged for help if I didn't take each and every suggestion like golden words to my eyes. Thank you ALL!!!

Okey dokey. I posted a video on youtube. Well, not really a video so much as a black screen under my truck at night. It's the sounds that matter.
At the 32 second mark you'll hear the very beginning. By 40-45 seconds it's full on.
Note. I began recording about 15-20 seconds after a cold start up. Phone was placed directly under the oil pan.
Gonna pull the pan again and see WTF I must've done. G-damn there's nothing more perturbing and pisses be off as much as having to do a simple job twice. Especially one as dirtying as this one is. One of them times is kill for a lift.

Ohhhh, if I ever hit the lotto. Not only an I gonna get my own garage WITH THREE LIFTS. But I'm gonna give away some lifts. I won't care if you live in a single wide LOL
