What is the deciding factor as to what is good?
What do you want your scanner to do?
Go onto this site and read up on their scanners, http://www.canobd2.com/Products/Tools.aspx which are considered to be some of the BEST depending on what you want from it.
I decided on a 3130 and bought it on Amazon.com for around $134 and it has been great for a above average scanner.
