Just brought a 2007 Range Rover Sport from the US to Canada. Although the trip computer lets me convert display to metric, the odometer remains in Miles, and not kilometres. Does anyone know how to change this to metric measure?

 

Take it to the dealer and they can change it thru your ECU.

 

For $1000 at my dealership they will do it.

 

Can someone confirm whether or not on a 06 LR3the digital odemeter can be changed from miles to kilometers in the Instrument Cluster Control Module configuration using aVCM andIDS? Or does the entire instrument cluster need to be replaced?

 

Does anyone know what is involved in getting the day time running lightsactivated on a 2008 LR2 HSE? I am buying it in San Jose and I am going to bring it into Alberta.

 

We used to do it, a few years ago, simply by resetting it thru the ECU. As far as I know that is still the way to do it.

 

Should be easy for them. I had mine done in AZ for $68. See pic below. Funny no drop down menu for that field.

whats shown on the IDS is just for the Trip units NOT for the ODO. I have tried enough but ended up with replacing the Cluster and worked. Using the IDS will never have the Miles converted to Km's in the ODO side...

good luck trying to get stuff warranteed by the dealer in Canada.

If you turned up at the dealer looking for a vehicle beforehand they might tell you to go to hell.

The reason for 1000 dollar fee is to guarantee there cooperation since you bought the vehicle over the border for cheaper.

 

If you have a nice dealer, they can modify your "CCF" (vehicle file codes) which will switch the I pack to km's. ibis1
