Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts OverheatingI bought a 99 disco 2 back in December 2017 Because I needed a good car for snow and was going to be working at a ski resort and i was driving it daily to work when it started to overheat on my way home. It didn' get too hot just a bit warmer than usual. I got it home let it cool and looked at it and I couldn't see anything visibly wrong no leaks or cracks anywhere in the radiator the next day I made it to work and back home no problem but about 2 weeks later it overheated again and that' when I knew I had a problem. I replaced the thermostat, water pump and the coolant reservoir cap. I have confirmed it's not a head gasket. It seems it will overheat really fast when I floor the gas pedal. I' completey stumped on this truck and have no clue what to do. Would it be worth it to get a new radiator since it still has the stock one? It also bubbles out of the cap when it overheats leading me to believe it' a pressure issue any feedback it' appreciated.

Fan clutch is a typical suspect in non-head gasket situations of overheating. Easy to replace. Cheap.

Other culprits can be waterpump, failed thermostat, low coolant, coolant being all anti-freeze instead of 50% anti-freeze + 50% water, clogged radiator, or an air bubble in your coolant from not being well bled.
