Default P38 v8 main bearing Q.......

hi guys, its not my car so i havnt looked yet but we suspect the mains are going, i know on some cars - and ive done it before - you can just whip the sump off, maybe lift the engine a little to make room and replace the main bearings without removing the engine.
is this possible on a P38 ? anyone had any experience's ?
many thanks for any help - appreciated

hi, he has a real bad rumble millage is late 100's, he knows his stuff so im guessing he is right although i havnt seen the car yet. in my head i guessed with the live axle out front - therefore not interupting the sump, and the size of the thing that there would be room to swap out the bearings. just wondered if its been done.

Hi,I was wondering what are the main differences between the 32 and the 33? Not cosmetic stuff, but length, beam, weight, bottom, etc. Ive heard that the hull is the same and there are only cosmetic differences....Cheers, fix my computer
