Greetings all! I'm new to this forum, I figured I would join to get some insight into these vehicles. I know a fair amount about cars but would like some owner feedback. I currently drive a 2002 Volvo V70 with a dying tranny and it's just not worth it to put any money into the car, seeing as how it has 224k on the motor (and still running strong!). About a year ago a buddy of mine got a 2000 Range to use as a work truck (since what we do sometimes requires some extensive off-loading), and after our first hill climb in the Poconos, I fell in love with it. I'm looking to spend around 15k on something, and I've found for that price I can get myself in to roughly a 04-06 Range/LR3 with around 85-90k on the motor. Normally I wouldn't think twice about buying a used car with that milage on it, and honestly the only thing that scares me about it is the air suspension. Are there any visual indications that a strut is getting ready to let loose, or am I just buying myself into a money pit? Like I said, I do know my way around cars and don't mind getting my hands dirty, I just wanted some owner feed back to find out if there's any known issues that I should address or have looked for.
