pre' 95 Rover Brake Light Circuit Question

Will the brake light circuit on a pre '95 Range Rover be energized if the ignition switch is off? In other words, if a person pressed the brake pedal with the ignition switch off, would the brake lights come on?

I'm not sure about a 95 RR but on my 1996 Disco, no the lights stay off.
