Default Radiator Cap

Where Can I find a replacement radiator cap? I've looked all over and I'm not finding this particular one. It's a '98 Disco, and I JB Welded it about 2 years ago and I think it's time I actually replaced it before it disintegrates.

I believe a 1/2 inch brass plug will fit there. You can get one from any hardware store. Do a search to verify, or someone will confirm in a moment.

Expedition Exchange has the original solid brass plug with a o-ring, they are about the best and also work well when replacing the plastic fill plugs on the diffs.

Yep, 1/2 NPT, about $2, will look like this when installed with some teflon tape. When getting old plastic one out move slow to keep it from crumbling, use a shop vac to grab stray parts if it starts to break up. If a bunch drops in radiator and won't float to the top, drain to remove the trash.

Thanks Guys! I dropped the $20 on Expedition Exchange. Probably should have gone to the hardware store, but oh well.
Now on to finding whatever it is that's draining my battery overnight. I'm about to repaint too, got the green light on a camo paintjob from the wife!

There have been a lot of posts about wierd drains, one of the best was the sub woofer amp in the back door. Good time to get out the amp meter and start unplugging fuses to isolate it. And please post pix of the paint job - camo is my state color...

I haven't decided on the pattern yet. 3-color Desert like I wore in Iraq, or Woodland like I wore for the 7 years before that. I like the Multicam and A-TACS patterns too, but I don't know if I have the patience to do either one of those. A-TACS would really look awesome I think.

Here in "Hooterville" most camo is applied to cover up the peeling paint so common on certain age vehicles. Every so often an artist stands out from the crowd.

I have thought that the typical black Discovery would do well with a sand tan roof (always wanted a black and tan German Shepard).
