Default Radiator Question

Ok... here is the question - To recore or replace the radiator?

What should you do, the current radiator is weeping from the lower drivers side. New radiator from AB is 290.00 or repair / recore is 75.00 - 100.00 but will they both be equal for future durability? Thanks for the help

Silly question; what vehicle? DII can not be recored they have aluminum cores & plastic tanks. DI & RRC have copper cores and brass tanks they also have intergrated engine & tranny coolers.

The advantage to a recore is you can have a wider core installed. Say replace the stock 3-4 core, or 2-3 core. As long as the tanks are good they can install just about any size core.

If it's a D2, buy a Nissens radiator from Rock Auto, Ebay etc for about $220-230 shipped and move on.
