Default Rear axcel spindle replacement

Hello all!

I'm new to land rovers. I just bought a 2000 discovery. I just replaced pads and rotors. I found one of the rear hubs leaking oil so I removed it. Can these hubs be rebuilt (new seals and bearings) or do I have to replace the whole thing? I just replaced all the oil in transmission and transfer case with synthetic. I hope that was a good idea! Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

On a D2, you have to replace the hub.
Make sure to shop around on line, should find a better price then from a dealer.

Thanks for the help, any recomendations on changing the u-joints from front dif. to transfer case? I think mine might be bad. I bought this car as is at a wholesale lot. I could only drive it in the parking lot. It was making a sqeaking/rubbing noise, and it didn't go away when I put the brakes on. I have it in my garage trying to get it ready for a inspection. I had it delivered to my house on a flat bed truck, haven't been on the road with it yet. The sound was sort of in the pasenger side middle to front.

What year is your Disco, is it a 1 or a 2?
If it is a D2 and you have the double cardon or constant velocity joint and there are no grease fittings on the u-joints then yes yiu should replace them.
If you have never rebuilt a double cardon, you might want to have a shop do it, they are a s;ight pain in the *** to do.

It is a disco 2 and I'm not sure if they have been done before. If they have a grease fitting they must have be changed--- I'll have to go out and check. Thanks again for the help.
