Default rear view mirror fell off!

My awesome 2008 LR3 must not have liked my sunshade and the rear view mirror came off, taking the button with it. Cant glue it back on until I detach it from the heavy autodim mirror. I can get at it, but how do I disconnect from cast piece? Spring clip hidden somewhere?

so anyway, I figured it out. I disconnected all wires, so I could work on it properly, found a photo of a new mirror without button, and saw there are indeed 3 springy locking clips. Used vise grips and turned button about 45 degrees until it released. Very tight! Lubed clips with some wd 40 and locked in and off several times. After glueing button on with extreme Permatex adhesive kit, I will be careful not to break windshield upon mirror reinstallation. I also sanded the button before glueing. With this kit, primer goes on GLASS, glue on button! Hope the photos uploaded!
