Remoulds - good for general use?
I drive a defender 90 pick-up 300 TDi. I need new tyres and I'm thinking of remoulds. Manufacturers say they are good and not like the old days! I don't go off road but need decent grip in the occasional winter snow.
Shall I go for them?

What size are you looking at?
Can't help you on the Reynolds, never heard of them, I would stick with one of the more popular brands depending on your use.

I am correct in the assumption that you are talking about remolds or retreads, yes? As far as retreads go, that is all they use on tractor trailers. How many of those tires do you see on the road. All they do is strip the tread off a tire and glue new tread on. My brother drives semi's for a living and he said that if they are gonna blow, it will be in the first 1,000 miles. After that, it's less likely. I wouldn't haul anything heavy for a while just in case. Hope this helps.
You are correct in your assumption about Retreads/remoulds. I only ever tow about 1 1/2 tons so tread should stick. I could get retread all terrains for half the price of brand new, so I'm still in a quandry.
