Default Replacing one tire ok?

Had a nail at the boat ramp gash a tire, Pirelli Scirpion AT plus. Went to discount tire and they said they can repair it because there’s a gash about an inch long. I had all the warranties so they can replace it with a new one. Told them to do so. Another guy comes and says since it’s an AWD I should replace all four. These aren’t new tires but definitely plenty of tread on them. Would the small difference in tread make that big of a difference?

The guy isn’t wrong. How bad would certainly depend on how different the diameters are. You should probably post your question in the appropriate section of this forum for your model LR.

I don't think we need to replace all four, just fix them
