Default replacing stereo

Looking for some help replacing my 99' Disco 2. I would like to replace the stock radio from my truck with a new deck. Are there any issues or pitfalls related to security features with my Disco 2? Is there any kind of kill switch or other exotic security features if I remove it?

Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Which radio do you currently have, do you have the Karman Hardon and are you just wanting to get a better sound or a different look?

Hey Mike,

We just want to be able to plug in the iPhones to the vehicle and. Last year we bought a JVC unit for another vehicle which we have since sold...still have the stereo.

Our speakers are marked Harmon Kardon so I assume the receiver unit is the same? Is it pretty straight forward pulling the H&K unit out?

thanks again!

Kurt

Actually the only thing that is H.K. on your truck is the amp, the rest is good old Rover stuff and for the age of your truck your speakers are pretty well gone.
By the way, there is a link in my signature section for a company that mods our radio with the necessary plug for what you want.
