Series 2a ignition problem
Hello, I'm having some issues with my ignition on my 1964 Series 2a. The ignition is a Crane XR700 unit, one night driving home it started to misfire very badly. When I got home I lifted the hood and noticed that the red LED that normally flashed on the control box was a steady red. I shut the truck off. That weekend I was going to trouble shoot it but the truck started right up and was running fine. I started to test drive it around the block but after I got halfway it started to misfire again and quit running at the next corner. I noticed the LED was back to flashing as I would turn the truck over. After a friend towed me home I did some trouble shooting and found the coil seems to be firing as normal, there is spark going into the distributor but nothing coming out to any of the plugs. It would seem the optical sensor and control box are working since spark is being sent from the coil but I'm out of ideas because the rotor and cap look fine. I did replace the coil since the one on the truck looked to be the original. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
