I have an 88 inch series III Land Rover. It currently has a hard top and I want to convert it to full canvas. I can access the top and the frame and a new rear tailgate. Does anyone have any advice about what is required to change from a full door to a tailgate?

Peter: I did that convesrion on a Series IIA about 12 years ago so my memory is a bit dim, but if you have a Rovers North catalog you should be able to find all the bits you need, i.e. the hinge parts, chains, and the neat closing pins. There are also some galvanized metal parts above either door, do you have those? Its a cool conversion, like driving around inside a big Boy Scout canvas tent!
