Default Sirius XM not working

Hello,
I have a 2008 RR ... I subscribed to Sirius radio but my stereo will not receive the signal. Does anyone have any insight on why? The screen says no subscription and gives the phone number to call and the ESN #. Is there a software update needed?

Its possible that your Satellite Radio Module is offline. It is the mini computer that controls the functions of satellite radio. It may possibly be recovered by a software update but more often than not, it may end up requiring replacement. A qualified Rover repair shop or a visit to the dealer should give ya some answers.

Another tip: pull off the left rear luggage compartment panel and that gives you access to the stack of "infotainment" modules. Look closely to see if you have water spots on those modules. If you do, then suspect the satellite radio module has failed due to water leak into that area. Pretty common issue

Maybe contact Sirius/XM and have them reset the signal to your vehicle. See if that helps.

Yeah I did that but it didn’t work. You mentioned before water damage and now that I look a little closer I think it has been exposed to water . I bought a used Sirius receiver for RR on EBay thinking that may work.

Cool, make sure to write down the ID number on the replacement receiver, and you have to register it with Sirius

Sooo..I plugged in the new receiver and about 5 min later the screen on the radio went black and my battery drained completely!! I put a charger on the battery and it started right up but about 15 min later dead as a door nail again!🤯 it’s also doing crazy things like dash lights going on and off and windshield wipers go on by themselves.. HELP!! 😫
