Default Spares
Hi I am new on the forum.
I am looking for a gasket set, standard big end bearings and rings for a Rover 2.6 petrol straight six for my defender 109?
Can any if the spares are still available?

You can find them it will take a bit of looking though.

Also you have a Land Rover series IIa or III not a Defender. Can't recall if it was IIa or III was offered with the 6 cyl

What would be the best motor to replace the 2.6 with?

I wouldn't replace it to be honest they were a very small production run and in my mind would have more collectors value if kept stock
