Speaker Issue After Rain Through Sunroof
Hello, a few months ago I left the sunroof open overnight on my 2014 Range Rover Sport and it rained a few inches. The next day once I realized this happened I let everything dry out and didn’t turn the car on until I had dried up and given the car a few days to air out. The water was mostly in the front seats. The only persistent issue I’ve noticed is that my speakers cut in and out for the first 30 or so minutes I have my engine running. During this time, my music plays like normal until there is a brief pause about every 3-5 seconds, almost like the system is scanning for a signal. If it’s a hot day, the speakers start working like normal much sooner than when it’s cold, which makes me think the water corroded a connection somewhere. Like I said the speakers are back to normal (with just a little static) after about 30 minutes of driving. I’ve posted a video that shows how the speaker cuts in and out. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or will it likely require an amplifier replacement? If I need to remove the passenger seat to get to the amplifier I don’t think that’d be an issue. Thanks!
