As it says, I will randomly lose the right OR left channel, and I'm fairly certain it's just one front speaker on each side, like the tweeter not the mid, or the inverse.
BUT if in this state I turn UP the volume louder, at some point, the speaker will come back on.

Now I do have an aftermarket stereo, but the problem seems to be certain speakers, NOT entire right front, left front as would follow the stereo wiring.

I have the stereo with the black amp under the seat that uses RCA hookups. But it doesn't say Harmon anywhere.

Is my amp dying? Has this happened to you?

I have the exact same problem. I have an aftermarket head unit as well as aftermarket door speakers so i belive its the amp going bad. I have yet to troubleshoot the problem yet though.

 

mine is getting slowly worse. Any updates?
