Exclamation Spongy discovery 1 Brakes

Hey guys, new member here! I have been searching multiple forums for a few days and unfortunately I have not found anything to help me address my issue. Right now our discovery 1 has brakes, but they do not instill confidence. Its wont lock up the wheels that's for sure. I have replaced all the brake lines as well as the flex lines with the braided steel lines and have bleed the air out and still the brakes are weak. I have no clue what to check next. Is there something else I am missing?

Thanks in advance

When were the pads checked/replaced last?

Try posting in the Disco 1 forum instead of this general one, but you might also want to check all the vacuum seals related to the brake booster.

I have driven a lot of D1's with all new brake bits and they really don't stop on a dime and the pedals were all a little spongy - likely just the nature of the beast - if you have replaced everything and have no leaks/air etc. it is what it is

They are brand new. I have never driven it before, we bought it without brakes so I am having a hard time gauging what is right or wrong on the brake feel.

I appreciate that feedback. I did end up getting some more air out of the system a few days ago and the brakes do feel better. Still not quite able to skid the tires if I stop on it quickly, but after reading your comment I am starting to think that is normal. It can stop for sure, but not as quickly as I feel like it should, but I am new to these.

The lines are new, as well as the pads and rotors, and the peddle doesn't seem to creep down if I hold my foot on it, it seems to hold pressure so I assume that means the master cylinder is ok.

I was actually want to help my friend by sharing a website with him where she can read essay examples for free. If you also want to read free essay examples then you can visit https://writinguniverse.com/free-ess...cal-marijuana/ here. And when I was searching for it online, I found your post.
