Default Stalls when rear door slams!!

1993 disco V8 80000kms. Ive had it from new. This is a very recent problem. Stalls often when going gently downhill.I live up a windy mountain road with big drops so its a bit of a hazard. No warning lights, no spluttering and normally starts first time, but will stall again. I have changed the fuel pump and filter and it was fine for a few short journeys, but it happened again today. It also will invariably stall if its ticking over and I slam the back door. The mechanic who replaced the pump is perplexed - he suggested a fault somewhere in the wiring loom and thinks putting in a direct switch for the pump may be the answer. Im not sure I like the idea of switching the pump on and off as I use the vehicle - but if it works?? Anybody had anything like this?

Can't help you on the door slamming issue, but I would suggest a new filter, your tank may have had some residue in it that is starting to plug up the works again.
I would also suggest a can of SeaFoam or a big bottle of Chevron's techtron on your next fill up, might want to do it twice over the next few fill ups, this will help clean out the injectors.

The fuel pump grounds are located in the rear corner, open the door and remove the access panel you'll see a couple of locations with wires , just make sure they are snug, also check the little round plug located at the LR frame rail ,it gets water ingress that corrodes the pins. it connects the fuel pump pig tail harness to the vehicle harness before going into he cabin.
