Default Steering Gear Box leakage

On 97 Disco I
I had a bad leak from the steering gearbox shaft seal (rear). This leak was 10-15 drops per minute. While trying to find a clean used gear box I tried a couple of stop leak additives without success. The last one I used proved to do the trick. It is: Bar's Transmission stop leak. I originally used it in limited quantity per the label. The leak slowed considerably but did not stop. When I refilled with the specified fluid the leak would revert back to heavy leakage. I sucked all the fluid out with a turkey baster and refilled with 100% Bar's stop leak. It took about two weeks of driving and two bottles of Bars to seal the leak. I now only have to add a little bit during routine fluid checks. System has been operating with 100% bars for over a year and runs quiet and with no noticeable leakage.

The Bars power steering Stop Leak was not used.
