I swapped steering columns on my 2000 disco and now the steering feels tighter/harder. Something doesn't feel right. No wobbles or sounds. Any ideas ?

 

Any binding at the joints or misalignment?

 

A bit of an off-the-wall idea but is the steering wheel still the same one? I once changed a steering wheel and thought for ages there was a problem, until I realised the new steering wheel was slightly bigger and was rubbing on my belt

Has your vehicle got PAS, if so is it still operating,
