I am experiencing what I believe to be an issue with my Disco. It only has 39K miles on it and a strange noise has developed. When accelerating under 2K RPM, the engine noise in the cabin gets louder. The sound coming from the engine reminds me of a sewing machine. I don’t necessarily hear any knocking but the engine sounds like an old tired engine. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be?

 

Downpipe manifold gasket.... Glad that it wasn't anything more serious.... I am posting to my own original message that had no replies. Strange....
