Recently purchased a D2, the previous owner (a "mechanic") mentioned he replaced the starter "because it was taking to long to start.."? Anyway, on turning the key to ignition, everything starts ok but I get a weird sound immediately proceeding ignition, did he botch the install? Sounds like it might be coming from the steering column but can't be sure?

 

Perhaps I'll post a video since my description doesn't tell you much.

 

Its faint on the video but you can hear a dull grinding sound immediately after starting, lasts about a second. Any ideas?
