Tech Tip for Swivel Pin and/or Rotor Replacement
This applies to D1's, Defenders, Range Rover Classics and perhaps some others.
I'm sure a lot of people with the above vehicles are annoyed with the fact that you have to break the hydraulics open when you replace the rotors or work with your swivel pins. This is because the bracket that holds the flex line in place has a hole rather than a slot.
So next time you're doing any of the above, or replacing your calipers or flex lines, take a few min to slot the bracket. If done carefully the hose slips right in and the retaining clip still secures it solidly.
Here's an example, blasted, slotted, painted and ready to install.
