Talking Throttle body leaking...NO more

One of the banes of my Disco 11's exisitence has got to be the stupid throttle body heater! I have been through at least 3 of them as they would always start leaking when the leading edge of the heater plate (where the inlet and outlet tubes enter) would warp and start to leak. I tried using different gasket materials, snugging the screws up, reefing the up tight, etc....but the end results were always the same!!! A warped leading edge and frustration....all because of a poorly designed part by LR! Well I think I've found a workable solution to my problem.....my local shop looked at the problem and came up with their own solution and built a much beefier, Heavy duty throttle body heater plate. I've had it on for a while now and I think it will definitely outlast the truck too! The made the plate MUCH thicker and a bit longer, allowing for far more material between the inlet and outlet pipes, so warp will not be an issue now.

Anybody who is still fabricating parts to better our aging Land Rovers is graciously welcomed. Cheers!
