Throttle is Sticking on Disco II

RE: Throttle is Sticking on Disco II
Verdict is in and it wasn't pretty. A buildup of gunk on and around the butterfly was causing the sticking. Sorry Mike, looks like dkeach was the winner. In my quest to resolve the problem I did not take a before picture and since the after looks like a new unit, I will not bother. Suffice it say, a toothbrush, a little B12 and a rag is all that was needed. The damage done to my ego will be much more lasting. Let this be a lesson to all, a few minutes of preventive maintenance is worth hours of cussing a problem once it develops.
Now I will begin tackling the problem of my three amigos warning lights. Thanks to all and remember to declare any wagering income on your 1040!

When you had it apart, did you clean the idle control unit, if the t/body was that dirty the idle control unit will be also.
May want to start replacing your air filter alot more frequently.
Doug,
Come on out here and I'll treat you to some good old Colorado trails and a burger.

T/Body Sticking
Hey guys, so went ahead and hit the Throttle body with some carb cleaner -
sucker is is hard as **** to move (and yes even with the cables off)...
with the cables on, it'll idle down, then any gas given to it will cause
it to Rev up and climb....
any suggestions for how to loosen the Throttle Body?
am I looking @ a new assembly? or cables?
damn thing worked just peachy before i went ahead and
cleaned it! LoL.
Thanks in advance.
