Default Time Change and National Lube Your Hood Cable

Update clock time as needed for daylight savings time if applicable. Lube both ends of hood latch cable. When the cable breaks off and pulls out in your hand you drop a lot more than an hour.....

Yup, it is a bit of a pain when that breaks!

Dont forget the rest of your latches and hinges and key holes and door stay slide on the cargo door.
For the cargo door bicycle chain lube works best because it does not attract dirt.

Where do I lube? I tried searching "bonnet" in the RAVE and didn't find anything other than references to the hood.

Pull the latch handle under the dash and lube the exposed wire cable behind the handle. Under the center of the hood, you will see the hole for the latch, and to the driver side slightly another hole that you can see the cable in, lube that as well.

Or just get rid of the cable and install hood pins.

My Disco and I are at a crossroads...whenever i try to add something new she retaliates by breaking something peripherally involved with whatever I was doing. She seems to be ok with me repairing things when they're broken (oil cooler lines), or maintaining stuff...but against me trying to tart her up. When it breaks I'll go hood pins .

Pull the latch handle under the dash and lube the exposed wire cable behind the handle. Under the center of the hood, you will see the hole for the latch, and to the driver side slightly another hole that you can see the cable in, lube that as well.
Thanks for the clarification!
