Tire Size Question from a Noob
Hi all,
I've done some searching on this forum, and can see that tire size is a common topic. Still, I can't find an answer to my exact question. So, I'm going to try posting it here. . .
I just bought a "used" 2016 RRS diesel. The private seller threw in some brand new studded tires. The problem is, my stock tires are size 255-55-20, and the studded tires are 275-55-20.
Although I'm a noob to Land Rovers, I know enough about tires to know that the studded tires will have a larger side-wall than my stock tires (5.95" vs 5.51"). What I don't know, however, is will the studded tires "fit" inside the wheel well without creating a rubbing problem. My local LR dealer was no help on this.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The aussies seem to have tried this thoroughly. May need some minor mods to avoid rubbing, but they have a guide to do so. Recommend at least using rods to lift the vehicle's default suspension or reprogram using software to raise default height.
