I have a 2002 Disco with 195k miles on it. I have been through the sticking ignition a while back and it stopped. The other day while running errands, turning it on and off several times without an issue, I went to turn the car off and turn the key to the off position the whole dash lights up like I am about to start it. If I turn it off quickly enough I can keep the car running and take the key out.

I have tried jiggling and every other newbie idea. Now I have to disconnect the ground cable from the battery every time I get out so every thing shuts down.

Any ideas?
