Default Transfer Case Wiring

Hello everyone!

I took my 2004 Disco (owned for a few months) off roading for the first time this weekend. Started with a fairly easy trail but it had some harder offshoots that allowed me to use 4Lo and the CDL. I am pretty sure the diff locked but I got no alarms, no lights, no neutral transfer case alarm, etc. I crawled under and every thing that I can see from the bottom is connected except for these two connectors:

these drop down from the harness on the left side of the transmission. Where should these be connected and could it be my problem? If so, why would they be disconnected? The truck performed very well on some very steep, loose rocky climbs.

Those are for a temperature sensor (if fitted). Sensors and interlocks are up top on the right side.

Thank you! I checked fuses also and was just hoping it was something basic. Hill descent didn't engage either so I guess I have to drill out the rivets and get access to the top of the t-case to see what's going on with the switches unless I am missing something else?

Are you certain that the diff actually locked? The cables on the 2004 can lock up if they aren't used every so often, and then can be impossible to move, or snap and possibly still feel like they're functioning.
There's a lot more info about this in the Disco 2 forum, rather than this general one.
