Default turbo or supercharger?

hi guys i have a 93 disco 3.5 manual 3 door v8 getting 400 klms per tank my problem is i reg tow a boat 2 ton worth which i struggle on hills. with living in Aus and Queensland to get to the best skiing spots requires lots of driving i`m playing with the idea of putting a truck turbo kit on as rarely go over 3000 rpm but thats a great expense and i know i can bolt on a supercharger for half the cost. is there a cheaper way of gaining extra horses without totally rebuilding the motor? i`ve grown up building ford and gm motors but this i totaly new to me i know the same princables aply i just need some guidence... thanx..

Get a different tow vehicle. Your Rover won't take to that extra power. The tranny and diffs can't handle it.
