Default URGENT HELP NEEDED

Hi I was driving my '08 LR2 home from work yesterday and ran out of fuel on the highway before i could get to the gas station. I was close enough to walk and get gas so I filled it with about 4 gallons and then started it and drove home. Everything seems fine except that the Check Engine display won't go away. Is my car seriously damaged?

If you are in the U.S. you can go by a AutoZone and they will scan for codes free.

I think that your LR is OK it may have miss fire codes due to running out of fuel.

take it to an autoparts store (Advance Discount, AutoZone or something similar)
They'll read the code for you, and clear it if you ask nice.
Make sure you write the code number back and post the code number.

Probably nothing.

Never allow your fuel to get that low. This is very hard on all vehicles especialyy Rover's with their $400 plu fuel pumps that will fry when allowed to run low on fuel too often.
