Default washed motor won't start - need help asap please

Hey guys, first time owning a 94 disco, the motor was horribly dirty so i decided to wash it, 15 mins after washing the engine bay i decided to move it up on ramps to do underneaty, well it barely started and ran like crap and wouldnt idle which i assume although i covered the destributor, some water may have gotten in. anyway i finished cleaning underneath, went to move it off ramps and now it won't start at all or sound like its even about to. i've taken the distributor cap off and dryed it, even with wd40, also blown compressed air on maf plug but still no luck at all, left it to sit over night and still nothing. Also made sure all wires on coil are dry too.
