water in foglamps???
I have a 2000 Discovery and have just noticed that the drivers side foglamp is half filled with what appears to be coolant. I just had the coolant replaced about a week ago. Does anyone know how it could have ended up in the foglamp? The foglamps works fine. A couple of years ago, I had water in the same foglamp and a mechanic friend of mine somehow emptied it out. I have since moved and cannot get a hold of him to ask him what the source of the initial problem was or how he drained it. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Your help is greatly appreciated.
First, don't use the fog light any more till you get the water out of it.
Pull the fog light out, not sure if your's has a drin hose or not, if it does, clean out the drain hose, if it doesn't, remove the light bulb and drain the water out.

I've never heard of a drain for water in any light. I am very new to these vehicles however the atmosphere inside a light has maintain a certain level of cleanliness, therefore a drain will just allow dirt/ water in as it would out. Just as on all vehicles, lights will start to build up water. Also, the plastics of the lights will start to develop small cracks, along with the buildup of condensation. Unless I am completely wrong about the drain, the light will probably have to be replaced. The only way I could see coolant getting into the fog light, would be if your housing has a large hole in it and coolant spilled directly into that hole. Probably just nasty buildup. I noticed in my current truck which is also a 00 the lights are starting to do the same.
