Default What is the most durable DIY fender flare coating

I have 4 cans of Duplicolor Bumper Coat. I used it on my last Disco. Looked great, but it scratched very easily. Would rather not use Bed liner spray, because of the rough surface it leaves.

Anyone found anything that is more durable than the Duplicolor for the DIYer?

BC in Austin

I recollect reading in one of the past posts that the Rustoleum plastic primer base coat works well:

Then use a paint for plastic parts or some type of paint with flex additives:

Smooth peanut butter is also good for recolouring unpainted black or grey plastic - when you rub it in the oils soak into the plastic.

I used Duplicolor Bed Armor. Has held up well.
