I Have been using AMSOIL 15W40 in my 300Tdi around 7 yrs now or so...

Have no complaints so far , generally sunny here ,lowest may be 23 degrees Celsius , highest may be 34 ... humidity average 75% ...

I have not been keeping up with oils recently .. so are there anything new in your regions..?

I decided to go with a variety. Royal Purple in the engine, Motul in the rear diff, Royal Purple in the t case and Castrol in the trans. I know you were just asking about the engine, but what do you run in the rest of the car? I have yet to try AMSOIL. Do you have a place online that has a decent price on it? Wait...Pentosin power steering and Valvoline brake fluid too.

 

Thanks , for the others as well , the reason why i asked this , some one is always more experienced in some fields , some people had bad experiences some had good , so they are able to warn others...

i had to rebuilt my entire 300 Tdi , was using S*#ll oil at the time ... i have Belray hypoid 90 in my diffs , ATF III in my gearbox .. So basically this is to share thoughts , suggestions and results really .

We get mixed reactions on Royal Purple here ,

i used AMSOIL because i saw it stated, somewhere on a land rover spec info sheet some where in the past .

 

Shell T6 in the 3.9, synthetic ATF in the power steering, the cheapest dino juice I can buy everywhere else.
