Default What is this wire? 04 disco

Like it says I have an 04 discovery and was under the truck on driver side and noticed an orange female 3 point connector hanging down not connected to anything.

Tried to look it up on rave can't figure out what it is.... If you know please tell me.

Where on the driver's side - fore or aft, near what item, and can you make out any color of the wire in the connector other than black?

It may be the connection for the ___________________ . But with a little more info we can run it down. Check engine light on, or does it come on at self test each time cranked? Some sensors will set codes if unplugged, some, like tranny temp, won't.

If you go to the RAVE, electrical library part, connector section, it has a color photo and location of every connector. Just click thru, only takes a split second to think that is no where near..

Since no codes, might be one of the sensors that just turns on an idiot light and does not interface with the ECU. Exampes are transmission temp and transfer case over temp.

Sample of these pages attached with an orange connector, rectangular, black over cable, but wires inside are various colors, and the O2 sensor, if unplugged, should set a code.
