Whirring sound from rear of 06 RR Sport
Hello all. What a great forum. My first post here.
I have a Range Rover Sport with 47k miles and it's developed a whirring sound from the back of the vehicle that varies with speed. What's interesting is that it's not made worse or better under acceleration, decelleration, coasting in neutral, left turns or right turns. It's always there but it does definitely vary proportionally with speed. I've thought about the differential, wheel bearings, the draveshaft carrier bearing, the CV joints, and the U-joint. I'm thrown by the fact that it doesn't change when the drivetrain is under load or not, or when I'm making turns (wheel bearings/LSD).
I've rotated the tires and verified that the diff has oil. I changes the diff oil as well. No change.
I appreciate any thoughts here.
