im a newbie here... I just bought a disco I 97' last week. i am having some of the usual problems most have had..... ticking, door locks/alarm, key ignition is wacky.... ive searched the alarm bypass possabilities since it seems to be a recurring them to simplify . under the KISS mode if it didnt have the alarm the doors and ignition wouldnt have problems ? i found a d-90 wiring harness for a 97' 4.0 v8 this is the same engine..... would that harness and ecu work as a replacement for the disco one? just a thought.......

 

Can't help you with thw wiring question but I know you can't switch ecu's from one vehicle to another, there would be an issue of the reset of the truck's ecu's recognizing it and the truck won't start.
