How did you get them in? With out doing that the frame rail was not able to be clearanced.

 

Was looking for a picture, but I guess I don't have one. All that you need to do on that starter heat-shield is bend it in a little. That is the only thing that is required for you to modify/remove/etc... during the install of the headers.

 

the heat shield on the starter came off in seconds and was no reason to bend it up.

What did you do for the driver side?

 

So you feel as if the starter needs no shield from the exhaust heat?

The driver side needs no modification. You can simply slide it into place and bolt it on.

 

No the heat sheild was removed to get it in and has been reinstalled, not looking to heat soak the starter, didnt feel the need to bend up the shield for no reason.

The driver side definitely did not just slid in at all. Power steering lines, steering rod, master cylinder and brake booster were keeping it from just sliding it in. Once we freed the master cylinder from the booster and removed the booster it slid right in.

And since you thought that I was not putting he heat shield back in place, yes the brakes will be reinstalled as well LOL
